Pregnancy Myth: Hair

So the biggest disappointment I have seen while being pregnant is in my hair. Like really! I had always heard from pregnant women and mom's that they had the most fabulous hair while they were pregnant and right after their baby was born. So naturally, being obsessed and prideful about my hair I looked forward to the change to thick full hair. Well here I am in the 3rd Trimester and I have yet to see any thick hair on my head. What have I found instead? I shed my hair a million times faster than I did before.

I have since decided that all women are different. Get out of here!?! We are different? Yes, yes we are. Not all of us get thick, full, fast growing hair. Maybe it's different prenatal vitamins. Maybe its just we are different.

For now, I will accept my quickly shedding hair and continue hoping for the day I have thick full hair that grows very fast. But lets be honest. I've never had it before, so why would I get it in the future.

Nashville's Bluebird Cafe

Tuesday was a fabulous day! The Bluebird Cafe from Nashville was on campus. This was a huge deal to me. For as long as I can remember Nashville has been at the top of my vacation list for the United States. It was just as great as I had anticipated it being. There were three song writers there, Lari White, Marc Beeson, and James House. They were incredible. They each sang songs they have written that have become famous on the charts and they even talked about their journey to success. Whether that was the first song they recorded or signing a record deal.  I loved every minute of this convocation and I did not want it to end.

Here are a few pictures of the events.

This was such an amazing experience. I'm so glad I was able to go and learn about how these songwriters made it in Nashville.

Now for a video of a song each of them wrote to share.

What I'm For: Recorded by Pat Green, written by Marc Beeson and Allen Shamblin

Lead Me Not Into Tempatation: Written and performed by Lari White

A Broken Wing: Written by James House, Sam Hogin and Phil Barnhart, performed by Martina McBride
