Clean Floor

I did it! I finally did it! We have lived in our house for a little over a month now. I have meant to do this, but always seemed to run out of time. Tonight, I had the time. I mopped my floor in my house for the first time. What a since of accomplishment! :) I love that the floor is now clean! Little things make me happy!

Homecoming: A night to remember

Homecoming. This year rates at 10+ in comparison to the homecomings of the past. This year, the President had his campaign kickoff as part of the homecoming festivities. We had 4-5 bands rocking the quad, glow sticks, food, and drinks, and desert. I even heard someone say it was the best dry party ever held on a college campus. To end the night there was a huge firework show. With music and the lights out for the effect. I hope they can do this every year, because it was the best party I have ever been to that was for students and anyone else in my years at SUU.

Simple Acts

Today was a very interesting day. As I was driving home from a long day of school, going a different route at a different time. I passed a girl pushing her car off the freeway ramp. I pulled over and got out to help her. I know how bad it sucks to push your car. Her story was an interesting one. She was trying to take her car to her ex-mother-in-law's to get a new battery put in it. She was pushing her car after she found out she was pregnant and had just called off her wedding. Jared and I helped her find some gas and give her a jump. The other amazing thing that happened. Was an older woman who stopped to help. The girl said, I don't have any money for gas. The lady heard what was going on, pulled a $20 out of her pocket, gave it to the girl and got in her car and left. She had been in the right place at the right time to bless this girl in more ways than one. Not only could she put gas in her car, she could also eat and be able to drive to a job interview she has next week. The lady was an amazing witness to me of being able to help in whatever way you can. I am so grateful for her example and for the opportunity I had to serve today.

Twitter

In order for me to get extra credit in my political communication class, I had to join Twitter. You think that sounds insane, so did/do I. My professor was giving a lecture on campus and wanted student feedback as it was going. The form of extra credit: Tweeting him during the lecture. Kind of cool to be told to use your phone, but a little excessive? So I Tweeted to get my ten points of extra credit. Am I now obsessed with Twitter. No! I'll keep my account for circumstances such as these. Really, easiest way I've ever gotten extra credit before! Not hooked to Twitter.

9/11 Never to be Forgotten

Who doesn't remember where they were and what they were doing when they found out what was happening in New York and Washington DC? I will never forget. I was in 6th grade at the Juab 5th and 6th Center. My best friend and I had gone to the office. When we got there the secretary and the principal were talking about a plane flying into the world trade centers. We were confused until we went back to class and watched what was going on for the rest of the day. I will never forget!

I have options(I think). Everything will work out in the end. It always does! So hurray for my graduation application completed and turned in!
