Oh What A Beautiful.... SNOW

Here we are on October 26, 2011. It snowed last night. A lot! Guess what! While everyone else is complaining that it is still October and shouldn't be snowing, I couldn't be happier. I love winter. The clothes I get to wear, the holidays, the snow. I love it all. There is something about campus covered in snow that I find magical and romantic. Maybe it is my love of snow or maybe it is my love for SUU. Who knows really. But I love it! So really oh what a beautiful morning, or what a beautiful day, I've got a wonderful feeling everything is going my way! :)

Another Fabulous Hunting Weekend

You may be confused by the title of this post. I am not lying, I had another fabulous hunting weekend. Jared and I got up really early Saturday morning for our sunrise date aka the deer hunt. I really enjoyed just driving around in the truck with him. We even saw elk and deer. The bucks were all on private property though. Of course it would be that way. Oh and the sunrise. I forgot my camera because we left so early, but it made me wonder, "Is this what Alaska looks like in the winter?" It was red coming over the bottom of the mountain while the night sky was still dark. It would have been a beautiful picture.

Mighty Mouse Hunter

Our house is perfect. There is only one small, huge problem. It has mice! I was making the bed one morning and a mouse ran under the bed. I was freaked out and moved everything out from underneath the bed. No mouse. I went to school and told Jared what had happened. We continued on with our day. Jared was finishing up some homework later in the evening when the same little mouse ran across the living room floor. Jared tore everything apart trying to kill it. Then he went to the store and bought a surplus of mouse killing supplies. He set his traps all over the house. Then he went back to homework. Within an hour of setting the traps, Jared the Mighty Mouse Hunter, trapped the mouse. It is such a relief to have that mouse gone. Now we are a little paranoid about all the diseases mice carry and where in our cute house it could have been. So we have been washing everything! We plan to have a cleaning party tonight! No more mice for us! I'm so glad Jared in a Mighty Mouse Hunter!

Happy Fall Break

It was so nice to have fall break to have a break from school. I did homework on this break though. How sad is that? I was also able to do a lot of fun things with my Williams Family. For Family Home Evening we went to Hee Haw Farms. It was a lot of fun to do something for Halloween with my family. When we first got there we thought we were too old for it. The longer we stayed the more fun we had. There was a giant slide. We sat on burlap sacks and slid down. Then we looked at the baby pigs. So cute! (They are ugly when they are big) We even got a free doughnut and some cotton candy for $1. Best priced best tasting cotton candy ever! Made fresh and put on my stick when I asked for it. There is so much to do at Hee Haw Farms. The real reason we went was for the Haunted Hayride. It was a blast! It wasn't terrifying as much as it made you jump. All I can say is if you are in Utah County go check it out. It was just as much fun as some other places and probably a lot cheaper. It was fun and probably the highlight of my break, I only wish Jared could have gone with me.

Hunting Widow Year Two: Week Two

Hunting widow year two week two: I am still surviving. This weekend, I miss my Jared so much. He is in Loa and I am home. It is fall break, so he is getting lots of hunting done and I am getting lots of relaxing done. I love that I get to spend time with my family. It will be a good fall break minus Jared. Lets hope he gets something! :)

Persuasion is Taking Over My Life!

I am not being dramatic. I spend so much of my homework time doing homework for my persuasion. Surprisingly enough, I really enjoy what I am learning. I also get emails from my professor now that go straight to my spam (Class Joke). The more I learn about persuasion the more I realize it is in everything we do and say! It is in the shows we watch, in the music we listen to, and even in the food we eat. Persuasion is everywhere! So in a very literal sense persuasion already had taken over my life. I'm just now realizing it.

Happiness

The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up. ~Mark Twain

Lately this quote has been really inspiring. Most days I don't feel like I have the time to accomplish the things I would like to. But isn't it interesting how a little bit of service can help someone else smile and it makes you smile too? Happiness is the key to a healthy life if you ask me!

Hunting Widow Year Two

Yes yes I am a hunting widow for the second year in a row, only this year I am married to a hunter, so this will be my life every year he has a tag. However, this year isn't as lonely as last year because it isn't awkward to go home with him now. He left at 6AM this morning. I slept. Hello its Saturday that is what you do. Then I did homework. Lots and lots of homework. I feel caught up.... for now. So being a widow isn't so bad. I am not left in Cedar alone to sit in my empty quiet house. Instead, I can sit in Wayne County. Much better because there are people around! Lets hope he gets one!

SGH EVENT PLANNING

This is a project for class. However, it has been a lot of fun. We have been able to create a business online and do all of the marketing for it. Today I am working on social media marketing. What better way than to use a blog! So if you are interested in what SGH Event Planning can do for you, just ask me about our latest marketing campaign. It has really taken off and been a success for us in Sterling Peaks.

Changes

It was time for a change. Today, I had time for change. By change I mean a new blog look. I finally figured out just what I needed to do. I changed things and made it new and fresh for me. Hope you like it!

It Starts With Us

I recently learned of a social movement called, It Starts With Us. This social movement is all about enriching other peoples lives by giving 15 minutes a week to a challenge that is sent out by the creator to each member of the group. For some reason, this group really got to me and i joined. There are no contracts to sign, just an email. If you feel up to the challenge for the week then you better yourself and those you serve. I am very excited to get going with this group. You never know what small difference you can make. I'm not trying to get you to join, just take a look at what you can do to make a difference. As the founder said, "I want to change the world".
