Simple Acts

Today was a very interesting day. As I was driving home from a long day of school, going a different route at a different time. I passed a girl pushing her car off the freeway ramp. I pulled over and got out to help her. I know how bad it sucks to push your car. Her story was an interesting one. She was trying to take her car to her ex-mother-in-law's to get a new battery put in it. She was pushing her car after she found out she was pregnant and had just called off her wedding. Jared and I helped her find some gas and give her a jump. The other amazing thing that happened. Was an older woman who stopped to help. The girl said, I don't have any money for gas. The lady heard what was going on, pulled a $20 out of her pocket, gave it to the girl and got in her car and left. She had been in the right place at the right time to bless this girl in more ways than one. Not only could she put gas in her car, she could also eat and be able to drive to a job interview she has next week. The lady was an amazing witness to me of being able to help in whatever way you can. I am so grateful for her example and for the opportunity I had to serve today.
